ACO Multitop Bituplan S manhole cover

With increasing traffic loads and more frequent heavy rainfall events, the demands on manhole covers are changing. Overloaded sewer systems can lead to flooding, and unsecured covers are often dislodged by buoyant forces—posing serious risks to vehicles, pedestrians, and emergency responders.

The ACO Multitop S manhole cover is designed to prevent these hazards. Connected to the frame via a hinge, the cover opens automatically when excess pressure builds up in the sewer. Once the pressure subsides, it closes securely, reducing the risk of accidents. In the open position, the cover is safely locked to prevent unintentional closure.
